Klaas Bosch - solo exhibition

Klaas Bosch - solo exhibition
opening reception: Friday 03.September 18:00 - 21:00 h
exhibition: 04.September - 16.October.2010

*with a premiere of a new musical work by Berlin composer Stefan Lischewski performed by Kornelia Timm (flute) at 21:00

Bosch was born 1976 in Eck en Wiel, Buren, Holland and has been living and working in Berlin since 2001.

His highly detailed, sepia toned paintings executed in oil portray very recognizable scenarios from seemingly ordinary lives. He orchestrates the compositions in his distinctive manner that leaves the viewer filled with anticipation. The mystery level is elevated to near climax, which the artist describes as ‘shockingly normal’.

Klaas has recently been selected as a finalist and included in the exhibition Premio Lissone 2010, at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Lissone, Italy, which will open in November 2010.

SteamBox at Two Window Project Berlin

Steam Box

new paintings by artist El Gato Chimney

and Jabi Machado in the foyer gallery

Two Window Project in Berlin is proud to present El Gato Chimney of Milan with his first exhibition in Berlin.
His playful images on canvas and paper are a blend of Surrealism and Steam Punk.
His teapot inspired flying machines and soar over fantastic landscapes of a world in another dimension and time. Fantasy and fictional Victorian technology flourish in his heroic scenarios. Cryptic messages swathed in candy like colors depict stories that could be from the present or from a century that has long passed.

Jabi Machado of Seville paints his portraits and landscapes in a way that bridges real with the surreal. His imagination flies freely while the finished painting converges with fluidity and accuracy. Each element in an almost perfect union in the semblance of a strange and indecipherable humor that brings the viewer to smile.

Two Window Project is proud to present its first exhibition in the UK with gallery artists Ernesto Canovas from Barcelona and Elisabeth Belliveau of Vancouver.

Ernesto Canovas with his BFA/painting from Edinburgh College of Art and is currently in the MFA program of the Slade School in London, has recently won top awards from both the Catlin Group and the Stevenson Award from the Royal Scottish Academy. He will be presenting his unique mixed media photos on wood from the Conejera Series, part human, part rabbit creatures which create fantastic images that transport the spectator to a parallel fantasy world where testing with embryos went wrong, Sputnik generation lands in Wonderland.

Elisabeth Belliveau with her BFA from Alberta College/sculpture and MFA from Concordia University, Montréal in fibers will show her embroidery portraits of the ladies of Coronation Street in a style that gracefully melds the old world art of needlework with pop culture imagery of the UK’s long running TV soap. Sincerity and a touch of humor blend seamlessly in these fiber snapshots. She has recently exhibited in the Textile Museum of Canada in Toronto, and galleries in Canada, EU and Cuba. Elisabeth has also been honored for her stop motion short animation films.
